Become CERT trained. Encourage others to become CERT trained.
Choose and train several assistants to help you in the event of a disaster.
Identify people living within the area boundaries who are trained in psychology, social work and counseling. Teach them how they can most effectively contribute their services in the event of a disaster.
Develop and plan to address the possible needs of people who may be affected by the psychological trauma associated with an emergency.
In the event of a disaster, after reporting to your respective block captain, go directly to the EOC – Emergency Operations Center to help in establishing a working EOC to assist all people living within the area boundaries in receiving the necessary aid.
